|Thank you for your interest in Acer Glen B&B. Like you we are aware of the health implication of COVID-19 and as a result, we have implemented a number of measures to minimise the risk of staying in our B&B. These comply with the government advice, issued by Visit Scotland – ‘Guidance for B&B Properties in the Context of Covid-19’.
We have accreditation through the Visit Scotland ‘We’re Good To Go’* scheme.
||The Acer Glen B&B has always scored highly for cleanliness (9.4 on Booking.com).
We will undertake cleaning to our original high standard (all in-house staff) after which we will disinfect all surfaces, using a mixture of disinfectant, steam cleaning and UV treatment. Sanitising solutions will meet the EN14675 or EN14476 standards (suitable to kill an enveloped virus, such as COVID-19).
|The Acer Glen B&B has not been open during the lockdown period, during which we have thoroughly sanitised the property. Hand sanitiser will be available in the public areas on all floors.
We will be opening in phases, initially only 40% occupancy – this is to enable a period between bookings to allow the room to be empty.
Rooms have had some decorative but non-functional items removed (eg cushions) to minimise the number of surfaces in the room. The normal extensive range of tea & coffee items will be available – you will be asked at the time of check-in what you would like. Any additional items will be provided as requested.
||Some changes have had to be made to the way we normally work.
Check-ins will be socially distanced and payment by card only. Public areas will be sanitised regularly (eg door handles and bannisters).
We will still provide our usual hearty breakfast but in-room will be the normal standard. The usual range of self-service items will be available on a pre-order basis and brought to you. If you prefer to eat in the dining room you will be socially distanced.
|Please note – If you suspect you have COVID-19 at any point in your journey or the 14 days before you depart, you are requested to cancel your booking and not travel. There will be no fee for any cancellation made before check-in.

|NOTE – If you arrive and it is suspected that you have COVID-19 or you start to show symptoms during your stay, the premises will be closed down. Any resident guests will be moved if possible and bookings due to arrive during your time on the premises and for the 5 days after your departure will be cancelled. This loss of income will be charged to the card used to secure your booking. A detailed receipt will be provided to support any insurance claim. You are advised to have travel insurance to cover this eventuality.
